Professional philosophy and approach to patient care:

“The diagnosis of endometriosis is very complex. With years of experience in ultrasonographic diagnosis of endometriosis in the uterus, ovaries, fallopian tubes, as well as in the intestines and bladder, I emphasize the importance of identifying the primary issue. This might be severe menstrual pains that do not respond to hormonal therapy, or infertility caused by endometriosis. In these cases, it is crucial to set the appropriate indication for surgery or consider further conservative treatment, as well as to determine the right time to refer couples for in vitro fertilization. In collaboration with colleagues specializing in in vitro fertilization, we carefully consider whether it is advisable to first perform laparoscopic endometriosis surgery or start the in vitro fertilization process. Particularly in ovarian surgeries, surgical experience in removing endometriomas to avoid a decline in ovarian reserve and preserve healthy ovarian tissue as much as possible is crucial. My extensive operative experience in this area is confirmed by pre- and post-operative controls of anti-Müllerian hormone (AMH), to which I will gladly refer you.”
