About

Dr. Radoš Đinović, the visionary behind Sava Memorial Hospital and the initiator of the Dr. Sava Perović Foundation, stands out globally in the field of genitourinary reconstructive surgery, serving both adults and children. As a protégé of the distinguished academician Sava Perović, Dr. Đinović not only shared the operating table with him but also upholds his professional legacy within and beyond the surgical room.
Reflecting on his collaboration with Professor Perović, Dr. Đinović shared, “I was by Professor Perović’s side for eight intense years in operating theatres across Serbia and internationally, dedicating ourselves seven days a week, even on holidays.” Now, he continues this rigorous work ethic by performing about 500 surgeries yearly, tackling an array of complex cases. He is especially renowned for his work on children with congenital anomalies, offering hope and solutions to young patients worldwide, many of whom have undergone multiple previous surgeries.

After the loss of Professor Perović, Dr. Đinović further honed his craft in genitourinary surgery, making significant contributions both in Serbia and on the global stage. He often performs surgeries at medical conferences, playing a pivotal role in the continuous education of his peers. His ability to innovate during surgeries has led to unique, groundbreaking procedures that have effectively erased the traces of some of the most challenging genitourinary conditions.
Esteemed by colleagues around the world, Dr. Đinović has served as the president of the Urogenital Reconstructive Surgery Section (ESGURS) of the European Association of Urology (EAU). The Sava Memorial Hospital, alongside the Sava Perović Foundation, is recognized as a premier educational hub for genitourinary reconstructive surgery, accredited by the European Association of Urology.

Dr. Đinović is also affiliated with several prestigious organizations, including the European Section of Genitourinary Reconstructive Surgeons (ESGURS), the European Society for Sexual Medicine (ESSM), the European Society of Andrological Urology (ESAU), the European Society for Paediatric Urology (ESPU), and the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH). Since May 2022, most of his surgeries have been performed at Sava Memorial Hospital, alongside his dedicated team. As a result, the hospital frequently welcomes patients from all over the world.

How this doctor can help:

Patients who turn to Dr. Đinović usually face serious— either congenital or acquired— anomalies and issues within the genitourinary system. Often, his patients are children who have already been through multiple surgeries without meaningful progress. Dr. Đinović’s successful treatments have established connections with hundreds of grateful parents, ranging from Kyrgyzstan to Qatar, drawing patients from across the globe to our hospital.

Professional philosophy and approach to patient care:

“In this field of surgery, encountering problems is the norm. Many patients have been told there’s no solution for their condition, left to live with unresolved issues, thinking a normal life is out of reach. The real challenge is in providing these patients with solutions that can significantly improve their quality of life. This demands constant learning and improvement, with each surgery and every suture placed. This relentless pursuit of excellence was instilled in us by Professor Perović; the commitment to continuously refine our skills and never shy away from the challenges that patient cases might present. Those of us who have continued in his path have managed to find solutions where none seemed possible.”
